Through prior experience in the Hornby Bay Basin, Pitchstone was able to identify and acquire an interest in several properties in Nunavut. The properties; Mountain Lake, Dismal Lake, Sandy Creek
and Kendall River are now owned 50:50 with Triex Minerals Corporation.
The Mountain Lake property
(6,647 hectares or 16,424 acres) covers the Mountain Lake uranium deposit and adjacent prospective land. The Mountain Lake deposit is believed to be the most significant uranium resource in the Hornby Bay Basin.
Mountain Lake is situated in the Middle Proterozoic Hornby Bay Basin, northeast of Great Bear Lake.
A National Instrument 43-101 compliant report (F.R. Hassard, 2005) estimated an Inferred Mineral Resource of 1.6 million tonnes grading 0.23% U3O8 (above a cutoff grade of 0.10% U3O8), containing 8.2 million lbs U3O8.
