Appoints Robert Armstrong as Chairman
Pitchstone Exploration
Ltd. ("Pitchstone") announces that Robert C. (Bob)
Armstrong, B.A.Sc., Ph.D., has been appointed Chairman of the
Board of Directors effective November 4, 2005. Dr. Armstrong is
one of the founders of the company and has served as a director
since May 2003. He is currently President of Armstrong Associates
International, LLC. Previously, Dr. Armstrong was the Executive
Vice President and COO of Echo Bay Mines Ltd. He was also with Cominco
Limited as General Manager at the Pine Point zinc-lead mine and
General Superintendent at the Polaris zinc-lead mine. Pitchstone
has granted 150,000 stock options to Dr. Armstrong. The options
have an exercise price of $0.68/share and a term of five years.
The other Pitchstone
directors are Ted Trueman, George Woollett, Paul Geyer, and Eric
Schwitzer. Ted Trueman, M.Sc., P.Geo., P.Eng., is President and
CEO. He is President of Trueman Consulting Ltd. and prior to that
was Manager Minerals, CDC Oil & Gas Ltd., Senior Exploration
Geologist, Eldorado Nuclear Ltd., and the Mine Geologist at Port
Radium, Northwest Territories.
George N. Woollett,
B.A., P.Geol., has over 40 years of experience in mineral exploration
and mining, primarily in uranium and precious metals. Mr. Woollett
is a partner in Trigg, Woollett and Associates Ltd. and was formerly
Chief Mine Geologist with Eldorado Nuclear Ltd. at both the Beaverlodge
and the Port Radium operations.
Paul Geyer,
B.A.Sc., P.Eng, is an electrical engineer and President and CEO
of Medical Ventures Corp. He has received the Entrepreneur of the
Year Award from the Richmond Chamber of Commerce and has been named
a Top 40 Under 40 Award Winner for the top business people in British
Columbia.
Eric Schwitzer,
B.Sc., S.M., CBV, is Managing Partner of Enterprise Capital Management
Inc. He was formerly Senior Vice President, Strategic Development
at Westcoast Energy Inc. and Managing Director of ScotiaMcLeod Inc.
He is a director of several public companies.
Pitchstone also
announces that the company will continue to engage the services
of SKAN Consulting Inc. Suraj Ahuja, M.Sc., P.Geo., principal of
SKAN Consulting Inc., has extensive experience in uranium exploration,
particularly in the Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan.
Pitchstone is
a uranium exploration company with seven exploration projects in
the Athabasca Basin, including a major land position in proximity
to the two highest grade, large uranium deposits in the world. In
the Hornby Bay Basin, Pitchstone has three projects including an
interest in a significant, N.I. 43-101 compliant uranium resource
(see Oct. 14, 2005 News Release). Drilling is currently underway
on the Athabasca lands where the company's experienced uranium exploration
team is the operator.
